FICC GSD's Real-Time Trade Matching (RTTM®) service enables dealers, brokers, and other market participants to automate the processing of Government securities trades throughout the trading day. The core of GSD’s comparison system is its RTTM Web application. Using standardized message formats, GSD RTTM Web provides a common electronic platform for collecting and matching trade data, enabling the parties to a securities trade to monitor and manage the status of their trade activity in real-time.

Upon trade execution, GSD Members submit all mandatory trade details to GSD RTTM Web to be matched with the trade details submitted against them by their counterparties. This trade matching capability is important because use of the RTTM service results in an immediate confirmation for trade executions that is legal and binding upon trade comparison. The comparison confirmation also serves to initiate FICC’s guarantee of trade settlement. GSD RTTM Web reduces the risk of mismatched security trades by allowing Members to identify and resolve exceptions as close as possible to trade execution.
GSD Members are eligible to use GSD RTTM Web. In addition, through GSD’s Executing Firm feature, which permits Submitting Members to submit trades on behalf of non-members such as institutions and correspondent firms, it is possible for non-members to also benefit from the RTTM service.
DVP trades with a par value of $50 million or less must be submitted to GSD RTTM Web in the full size and in the exact amount in which the trade was executed. Trades for over $50 million must be submitted in increments of $50 million par with a single tail for the remaining amount.
GCF and CCIT Transactions submitted manually to GSD RTTM Web can be submitted with a max trade size (start money) of up to 2 Billion. Trades submitted via interactive messaging (IM) can be submitted with a max trade size (start money) of up to 9,999,000,000 (9.999 Billion). This maximizes the volume of trades that match on trade date as members don’t have the same delivery restrictions as they do in DVP.
The following table specifies the individual roles for Super Access Coordinators to use when providing IDs for MBSD users in the Customer Registration System (CRS).
