GTR Global Industry Tools Simulator Input: Testing Submissions

This topic describes the Simulator Input screen. Use this screen to submit a message for testing.

There are three steps to input a message:

  1. Select a jurisdiction
  2. Submit a message through the file upload tool or the submission input field
  3. Transform and Validate the message

Select a jurisdiction from the dropdown. You must select a jurisdiction prior to selecting a file for upload or inputting a message into the submission input field.

You can submit a message for validation through two methods:

  • Uploading a file

  • Manual entry (copy & paste) into the submission input field. The following table outlines the accepted formats for each jurisdiction:

  1. Click Select File. f the Select File button is grayed-out/unavailable, confirm selection of a jurisdiction from the jurisdiction dropdown.

  2. Select the file for upload from your device's file attachment dialogue.

  3. A successfully uploaded file displays the file name and the submission data in the submission input field.

You can manually enter the submission message text directly into the submission input field for simulation and validation.

  1. Select the message submission text.
  2. Copy (Ctrl+C) the selected message submission.
  3. Paste (Ctrl+P) into the submission input field.

Tip

Ensure you select the entire data set for copy and paste. A single missing character could cause a NACK for a simulated trade.

To submit the message for testing, click Transform and Validate.

The simulation results automatically display on the Results - Trade LevelResults - Trade LevelResults - Trade Level screen.
