Overview
The Global Industry Tools is a web-based application for the pre-validation of trade submission data to the Global Trade Repository service for both derivatives and securities jurisdictions. It is a self-service utility that enables standalone testing and verification of submissions.
- The Global Industry Tools is accessible as a tile on MyDTCC.
- There are separate Global Industry Tools for the PSE and Production Environments.
Utilize the Global Industry Tools to ensure acceptance of your submissions into the Global Trade Repository service. You can test the validations beforehand to confirm that your reported trades are successfully processed.
The Global Industry Tools provide access to the same pre-validation functionality and rules available in the legacy jurisdiction-specific Industry Tools. However, the application is now delivered as a single web-based application with an intuitive user interface and an improved user experience.
The Identifier Service generates UTIs (Unique Trade Identifiers) that you can download into .csv and JSON formats.

Access and Troubleshooting
If you had access to any of the regional industry tools, you are automatically permissioned with access to Global Industry Tools. If you do not have a regional industry tools access, contact your SAC for permissioning.
You must have a new distributed User ID to access Global Industry Tools. DTCC will only migrate distributed User IDs for permission.
- If you have access to an existing regional simulator and login with your Global User ID, log in with your new distributed ID to access the Global Industry Tools.
- If you do not have a distributed ID, DTCC will create a new ID permissioned with access.
If you currently have access to MyDTCC (encompassing the Production and/or User-Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments) and/or are a user of an existing jurisdiction-specific Industry Tool, you are automatically provisioned with the access to the new Global Industry Tools application.
The session times out after thirty minutes of inactivity. You must log back in to access the application.
