GTR CFTC/Canada/SEC (NoA): Message Sequencing
If messages related to the same trade are submitted in sequence within the same channel or file (MQ or SFTP or Web Upload), DTCC will process those messages in the order received. Sequencing cannot be guaranteed when messages related to the same trade are submitted across these channels. For users with multiple connections to the same SFTP site and intend to send files in quick succession, they are recommended to use the same connection or otherwise wait till an acknowledgment is received before sending another file in from a different connection.
With the implementation of Action Type sequencing rules (see Action Type and Event Type Validations), it is especially important that the users consider and factor in what and when to send messages based on Action Type.
Note |
Message responses over MQ may be returned in a different sequence than the original submission due to GTR load balancing functions. This different sequencing does not mean that the messages have been processed out-of-sequence. |
