TradeSuite ID : Maintaining Matching Profiles

This topic describes how to create, modify, and delete matching profiles.

When you create a matching profile, the initial settings are the settings defined for the matching profile you are using as a template. You can change these filter settings, as needed.

Notes
  • You can select up to 21 fields for display in the NearMatch minor data grid.
  • This module requires the Message Type and Requested Action fields, and they must be the first and second fields, respectively. An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.

To create a matching profile:

  1. From the Profiles menu, click Matching Profiles.

    The Matching Profile page displays your default profile. To use a different matching profile as a template, select it from the menu.

  2. Select the NearMatch major data grid fields.
  3. Change the Available Fields and Selected Fields lists for the NearMatch minor data grid fields, as needed.
  4. Type a profile name.
  5. Click Save As.

    The page refreshes, and the Matching Profiles menu displays the new profile at the top of the Matching Profiles list.

  6. To use this profile as the default, select the Use as Default check box, and then click OK to close the confirmation message.

    You can have only one matching profile defined as the default.

You cannot modify or delete the nine predefined standard matching profiles. However, you can use these predefined profiles as a template to create a new matching profile that you can modify for immediate or future use. You can change any user-defined profile.

To modify a user-defined matching profile:

  1. From the Matching Profiles menu on the left side of the page, select the profile.
  2. From the major data grid or NearMatch minor data grid, change the Available and Selected fields lists.
  3. To use this profile as the default, select the Use as Default check box, then click OK to close the confirmation message.

    You can have one matching profile defined as the default.

  4. Click Save.

    The page refreshes, and the changed profile appears at the top of the Matching Profiles list.

An ad hoc profile is a one-time change to a matching profile. The TradeSuite ID service does not save the changes to the profile. After applying the changes, the trade blotter refreshes and the name Ad hoc appears in the Matching Profile field, in the top right area of the NearMatch page.

Create an ad hoc matching profile in one of two ways:

  • Change any existing matching profile and then see the results on the NearMatch major and minor data grids.
  • Change the matching profile currently in use and filter the data on the NearMatch major and minor data grids again.

To create an ad hoc matching profile:

  1. From the Profiles menu, click Matching Profiles.

    The Matching Profile page opens for the default matching profile.

  2. Select the applicable profile from the Matching Profiles menu on the left side of the page.

    The Matching Profile page displays the settings for the selected profile.

  3. Change the fields, as needed.
  4. Click Apply.

    The TradeSuite ID service displays the records on the major and minor data grids, based on the ad hoc matching profile and current retrieve profile.

To create an ad hoc matching profile from the current matching profile:

  1. Click the matching profile name link next to the Matching Profile field in the top right area of the NearMatch page.
  2. Change the fields, as needed.
  3. Click TradeSuite ID.

    The TradeSuite ID service displays the records on the NearMatch major and minor data grids, based on the ad hoc matching profile and the current retrieve profile.

You cannot delete the nine predefined Standard Matching profiles; however, you can delete any of the user-defined profiles. If you delete a user-defined profile that is your default profile, the Inst-Exe Bkr-Trade DT-Sec ID matching profile becomes your default profile.

To delete a user-defined matching profile from the Matching Profiles menu:

  1. Click Profiles.
  2. From the Matching Profiles menu on the left side of the page, locate the profile.
  3. To delete this profile, click Delete .

    A warning message displays.

  4. Click OK to confirm the deletion.

To delete a user-defined matching profile from the Matching Profile page:

  1. From the Profiles menu, click Matching Profiles.
  2. From the Matching Profiles menu on the left side of the page, select the profile.

    The profile opens on the Matching Profile page.

  3. Click Delete.

    A warning message displays.

  4. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
