RCNV - Submitting a Regular Conversion Instruction in PBS

To submit a regular conversion instruction:

1. From the Corporate Action Services home page, in the Instructions and Inquires area, click Reorg Conversions.

   If prompted, enter your user ID and password.

   The Conversion Instructions - Main Menu page appears.

2. In the Option field, select 1 - Regular Conversion Instruction Submission from the drop-down list.
3. Click Submit.

   The Conversion Instructions - Regular Conversion Instruction page appears.

4. In the Option field, select A-Add (to add a new instruction).
5. Type a CUSIP number in the From CUSIP field and type the appropriate values in the From Quantity, Participant Coordinator, and the Phone (number of the Participant Coordinator) fields.
6. In the Certificate/Seq field, enter the certificate number or the sequence number of the security to be converted.
7. Click Submit.

   A message window appears displaying a summary of your conversion instruction and asking you to Confirm or Cancel the instruction.

   Note

   If the system calculates that the convertible shares have a greater total value than the underlying shares, the Conversion Potential Loss page appears, displaying the values of the shares and the exact amount of the potential loss. Also, if the security you specified is a bond (issue type 5 or 7), the Custody/Restricted Warning Message appears, displaying the principal amount of this instruction. Click the Previous Screen link to Confirm or Cancel the conversion instruction.

8. Click Confirm to enter the instruction for processing.

   The message Transaction accepted for processing appears at the top of the page.
