ALERT^® for Trustees Settlement Instruction Validation Rules

The tables in this section describe the primary data validation rules for ALERT messages that you sent to create or update settlement models:

• Header Field rules apply to all settlement instructions.
• The rules in Equity, Fixed Income, Money Market and Other Security Types table and Standard Settlement Instructions for FX, CASH, and Derivative Security Types tables apply to settlement instruction data in a settlement model and account-specific settlement instructions.
• The rules in the Security Type Groups table apply to Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) methods.
• The rules in Countries That Have Market-Specific Methods table apply to the market-specific methods listed in the table.

Each rule that applies to the fields that contain a Business Identifier Code (BIC) are in the Business Identifier Code (BIC) section.

Note

Always provide BICs using valid BIC syntax.
