Suppress Alerts

Use this page to set up alert suppressions for combinations of acronym, country, and security. You can create multiple alert suppressions for a single acronym. For example, you can suppress all alerts for a particular country. When you set up a suppression, ALERT does not generate alerts for the acronym/security/country combination for all users of the same organization.

Adding a suppression suppresses your organization’s ability to receive alerts and view Settlement Instructions for the Acronym/Market combination saved.

  1. Select Suppress Alerts from the ALERTS menu.

    ALERT displays all existing suppressions.

  2. Click Add.

    Scroll to the bottom of the page to view a new, undefined suppression.

  3. Enter an acronym in the Acronym field or search for one:
    1. Click the magnifying glass next to the Acronym text box.
    2. Select to search by Acronym or Organization name.
    3. Enter the full or partial acronym or organization name.

    4. Click Search.

      ALERT returns a list of acronyms and associated organization names.

    5. Select an acronym and click OK.
  4. Select a country and security to which the suppression applies, or retain the default ALL to apply the suppression to all countries and securities.
  5. Click Save.

  1. Select Suppress Alerts from the ALERTS menu.

    ALERT displays all existing suppressions.

  2. Select the check box for the suppressions you want to delete, or select the Acronym check box to select all suppressions for deletion.
  3. Click Remove.
